June 26, 2008 - Day 17
Today Brendan had a good day. He did not have any Brady's during the day and tonight had only one minor one while we were there, and of course it was while I was holding him. Tonight Devin got to hold Devin and then we switched so I got to hold him too. He slept on his dad, cried and smiled on me so it was a good night. His oxygen was upped to 40% because of a Brady he had last night the nurse tonight though said she was going to lower it back to 25% and see how he does.
Yesterday Brendan's paperwork came from SSI. We didn't know about this but there is SSI for low birtweight the social worker at the hospital told us about this at the family meeting last week. Since Brendan was born under 1200 grams he automatically qualifies. Through the program he will also be covered under Medicaid should our primary insurance not cover any of his care.
Today Brendan's paperwork for his birth certificate came in the mail. He is quite the popular guy.
