June 21, 2008 - Day 12
Today we visited with Brendan twice, once in the morning with my parents and once tonight which we just got back from. He is doing great in fact good enough that they removed his head IV last night. Today we also learned that Brendan has a slight heart murmur but it is totally common for preemies and the doctors and nurses are keeping a close eye on it. Tonight we got to do some of Brendan's "cares" : temperature, diaper change and then I got to do some kangaroo time. The good news is that last time we did kangaroo time Brendan had a little difficulty maintaining his temperature. But this time he was a champ and kept the same temperature bundled up and out of the isolette and he did in the isolette. Brendan was very alert when we were with him today ...he would follow you with his eyes and he of course was as adorable as ever.
